How long does each therapy session take?
Sessions vary depending on what you are seeking help for. A traditional intake session is 60 minutes in length. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes in length. Specialized services such as Discernment Counseling require a 2 hour intake and 90 minute follow-up appointments.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out of network provider. I expect payment at time of service. I can provide an invoice with all the appropriate information for you to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to inquire about your out of network benefits.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
No, I don't offer sliding scale rates.
What should I expect from the first session with you?
I am trained as a systems therapist therefore would like to see as many parts of the system as I can. If you are coming in as a couple I will see both of you. If you are coming in as a family you and I will discuss by phone what parties should be present the first session. The first 1-3 sessions are considered the assessment phase of therapy where I will be gathering information. I look at the therapy process as collaborative so invite any questions you have throughout the process.
